About | HOWLAND - Robert P. "Papa Bob" Taylor, 46, died at 3:18 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, of a massive heart attack. He was born April 28, 1963, in Warren, a son of Merwyn Lewis Taylor and Josephine E. Bodnar Taylor. He was a 1982 graduate of Howland High School. For the last three years, he was a produce delivery driver for Scarpaci produce; he had previously worked at Delphi Packard for 11 years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Bob enjoyed photography, cooking, traveling, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Most of all, Papa enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Gayle Hutcheson Taylor, whom he married May 28, 1988; two sons, Donald Welker of Warren and Jeremy (Julie) Welker of Southington; four grandchildren, Julianna, Rebecca, Gabriella and Kayden Welker; a brother Ronald (Judy) Taylor of Cortland; a sister Karen (Thomas) Lazor of Howland; a brother, Richard (Debbie) Taylor of Howland, and a sister Cheryl (Jim) Zurawick of Cortland. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Church with celebrant the Rev. Donald E. King, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. service at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Crown Hill Burial Park In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association - Great Rivers Affiliate, 840 Southwestern Run, Youngstown, OH 44514. |
