About | HOWLAND - Deborah A. Pompeo, 49, of Howland passed away at 5:20 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at her home, following a courageous, one-year battle with cancer. She was born June 24, 1961, in Warren, the daughter of Albert and Loretta Santfant Pompeo Sr. A lifetime area resident, Debbie was a 1979 graduate of Howland High School and received an associate's degree in business administration from the Trumbull Business College. She worked as a cashier at various businesses in the area, most recently at Pope's Dairy on North Road. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, and she liked gardening, gambling and the outdoors - camping, taking walks and bicycle rides. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Debbie will be sadly missed by her parents of Howland, with whom she made her home; a daughter, Brandy Pompeo; fiance, Ryan Weaver; son, Joshua Pompeo and companion, A.J. McDermott, both of Howland; three brothers, Albert ''Albie'' (Kim) Pompeo Jr. of Macedonia, Randy (Jan) Pompeo of Warren and Rick (Cheri) Pompeo of Cortland; and a sister, Stephanie Pompeo of Streetsboro; four nieces; four nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and her beloved dog, Jackson. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Roberts-Clark Chapel, where friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Charles Crumbley will officiate. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery. The family suggests material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St. Youngstown, OH 44512-2198. |
