About | CORTLAND - Frank E. Roscoe, 60, of Cortland, passed away late Friday evening, Jan. 28, 2011 at his home following a short illness. Mr. Roscoe was born on Nov. 11, 1950 in Warren, a son of the late Frank E. and Anna (Vilhosky) Roscoe. He was a 1969 graduate of Howland High School and went on to proudly serve our country as a private in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His decorations and citations included the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Following his discharge, Frank went on to work for more than 20 years as a juvenile probation officer for the Trumbull County Juvenile Justice Center before his retirement in 1997. An avid outdoorsman, throughout his life Frank enjoyed taking time to go fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed deer and rabbit hunting and reloading ammunition. He and his wife enjoyed camping, shooting sporting clays, and spending time at Mosquito Lake Sate Park. He is survived by his wife Chris (Clarissa Reynolds) whom he married on Oct. 16, 2003, his brother Dave Roscoe of Warren, his sister Betty Ann Vucco and her husband Steve of Howland, several nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends whom he cherished. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother Dan Roscoe in 1997.
