About | HOWLAND - Harold E. Snyder Jr., 45, entered into rest at 11:07 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at St. Joseph Health Center following a brief illness. Harold was born March 3, 1966, in Charleston, S.C., the son of Harold E. and Ruth Banjack Snyder Sr., and was a lifetime area resident. He was employed as a prep cook for the Red Lobster in Niles for 29 years, and was a 1983 graduate of Howland High School. Harold was also an avid train collector and a builder of train layouts. On June 1, 2001, Harold was united into marriage with the former Rochelle Strack, and they had shared 11 years together. His memory will be remembered by those he leaves behind, including his wife, Rochelle Snyder of Warren; three sons, Kyle A. Strack of Mineral Ridge, Nathan W. Rosier of Akron and Dale L. Rosier Jr. of Howland; a daughter, Elizabeth M. Protiva of Howland; a brother, Edward Snyder of Warren; a sister, Roxanne Godfrey of Warren; six grandchildren; and a lifelong friend, Harmii Andrews of Howland. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold E. Snyder Sr. Services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Officiating will be the Rev.
