| About | Mary Gates Mary Alice Gates, age 53, of Palmyra Township, Ohio, died March 7, 2012 at 8:45 AM at her home after a battle with cancer. She was born October 6, 1958 in Warren, the daughter of the late Harmon H. and Betty Korth Andrews, Jr. Mary was a 1977 graduate of Howland High School and also a 1981 graduate of KSU and she was employed by Akwen LTD. Mrs. Gates enjoyed making crafts, playing with her pets and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Carl Gates, whom she married on April 17, 1982 and one brother, Harmon (Diane) Andrews III of Howland. Other than her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Bishop. There will not be any calling hours and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Mary's cremated remains will be buried in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, Ohio. The family requests that material contributions be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, in her memory |
