| About | Stacy L. "Katie" Root, 34, of Warren, OH passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014. She was born July 24, 1979 in Warren, OH, a daughter of the late Rolland L. and Joann Eastman Root. She was a 2004 graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Katie was involved in a suicide awareness group. She enjoyed traveling, swimming, going to casinos and especially enjoyed going to concerts with KISS being her favorite band. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, most of all, her nieces and nephews. Katie was an avid animal lover, with a special love for dogs. Katie is survived by her sisters, Debra J. Root (John Schuller) and Lisa M. Loy (Kristopher Ketcham) both of Warren, OH; brothers, Rolland R. Root (Lori Borrelli) and Michael T. Root both of Warren, OH; many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as, nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Lisa M. Stevens of Warren, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, uncle, William Root, who raised her, and her beloved boyfriend, Justin M. Ackerman. A gathering of friends will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. |
