About | WARREN - Virginia L. Stuler Jones, 95, died Friday afternoon, March 30, 2012, at the Humility House in Austintown. Virginia was born March 14, 1917, at home in Monessen, Pa., the daughter of Eleanor Bane Sager and Raymond Sager and formerly lived in Warren. She completed her education in Brownsville, Pa. and graduated from California State Teacher's College in California, Pa., in 1940. Virginia began her teaching at St. Clair in Brownsville and moved to Warren in 1953. She retired from teaching at Morgandale School in 1981 in Howland. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Warren and the YWCA for many years. Virginia loved to watch college football, professional golf and play bridge. Traveling kept her active and involved in her community. Her first husband, Myrl Russell Stuler, whom she married in 1941, died in 1945. Her second husband, Charles E. Jones, whom she married in 1954, died in 1975. Her brother, Louis Sager, also preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Jean Springer in Pittsburgh, Pa.; her son, Myrl T. (Ted and Linda) Stuler of Canfield; and her grandson, Jay Russell Stuler of Mentor. Family and friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday prior to services at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. The family has asked that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the donor's favorite charity. |
