| About | Marilyn passed away on April 22, 2026, from Alzheimer’s Disease, in Denver Colorado. Marilyn was honored to be Homecoming Queen of her graduating class at Huron High 1959. After graduating Western Reserve University with a BS in Nursing, Marilyn married Gunnar Galins and made their home in Southern California. Marilyn began her lifelong career as a Labor and Delivery R.N., soon achieving a Masters in Nursing. which led her to become a well-loved Nurse Educator. Marilyn completed her career as a Hospice Nurse, which she embraced as a true calling. Throughout her life Marilyn was an active participant in various church activities and many sports, including Yoga, Snow Skiing, Bicycling, Tennis and was a frequent neighborhood jogger, rising to the highest level by finishing the LA Marathon. Marilyn lived joyfully, laughed often and loved deeply. Her kindness and faith will live on through the many lives she touched. |
