| About | Vicki Kay (Longstreth) Redovian Born: Tue., Jun. 26, 1956 Died: Mon., Sep. 30, 2013 Vicki “Sockie” Redovian Vicki Redovian, 57, passed away too soon on September 30, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. A huge part of her life was her work as a compassionate dietitian and her selfless dedication touched many lives. Vicki’s radiant smile transcended beyond her face. You could see it in her eyes because it came from her heart. Sockie had an abundance of love that overflowed and embraced all of her friends and family with its warmth. Her fun spirit and crazy sense of humor made you laugh and drew you into her magnetic personality. Her positive attitude uplifted all of the people in her life. Vicki is survived by her husband of 39 years Greg; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Gabrielle and soon to be grandchild; brother Greg; sister Cathy; Mother-in-law Helen; in-laws Tim, Denise, Barb and Ron; nieces and nephews Tim, Angie, Tammy, Andrea, Adam, Nicole, Luke, David, Katie and all of her Dragon Slayers! Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd, Akron, OH 44319 (SR 619). Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M. and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to the Grandma Sockie Scholarship Fund, C/O Schermesser Funeral Home.
