Bill was born in 1956 in Akron, OH. During his youth he resided in Cape Canaveral, Florida and Hampton, Virginia before relocating back to Akron where he attended Kenmore High School graduating in 1974. After high school Bill went on to work for Montgomery Wards, Decoral, Macs Cabana, and finally Home Depot retiring earlier this year due to health complications. During his youth Bill became an Eagle Scout at the age of 12 making him one of the youngest in the state of Virginia's history. Bill also excelled in swimming and was a very strong competitor. He will be remembered most for his humor, and his friendly, easy going demeanor. He always welcomed people into his home, affectionately referred to as "Billy World", where he enjoyed cookouts, pool days, and countless other celebrations.Bill was preceded in death by his father and mother, Bill and Grace Herman of Akron. Surviving him are his son, Greg German (Marissa) of Akron, daughter Kylee Ford (Rob) of Norton, grandchildren Hayden and Hudson, sister Wanda German of Wickliffe, nieces and nephews Courtney, Adam, and Travis. Also numerous friends including Mikey, Cindy, Tammy, Richie, Lou, Jeff, Sue, Jenny, Mark, Danny, Mary, Mick, Stephanie, and many more. We would like to thank the staff of Pebble Creek nursing and rehab facility and the numerous doctors and nurses at Akron General. We will be holding a private ceremony to honor Bill's life. Friends and family will be notified in advance regarding a time and date. |
