| About | Mrs. Ashley died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at her home in Painesville. Born May 1, 1972, in Erie, Pa. she was the daughter of Dawn (Bretz) Slike and David Safford. She enjoyed making crafts, loved animals and was a devoted mother and homemaker. Sherrill worked for Seacrist Maintenance. Survivors are her husband, Robert Rollin Ashley Jr., whom she married Feb. 7, 1996; daughters, Claire Elizabeth Dodrill of Geneva and Rachel Frances Ashley of Painesville; sons, Michael Robert Ashley of Painesville and Alexander Edward Ashley of Painesville; parents, Dawn and Joseph Slike of Madison; father, David Safford of Erie, Pa.; four brothers, Joseph Francis, James Michael, John Thomas, and Justin Paul Slike; and maternal grandmother, Eva M.
