Former Mansfield resident Anthony David Duncan, 56, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Hospital in Milwaukee, Wis., after a long illness. Antony was born Aug. 30, 1949, in Mansfield to Geneiveve Duncan Smith and was raised by his grandparents, the late Malcolm and Annie Mae Duncan after his mother's death in 1952. He graduated from Mansfield High School in 1967. Anthony was a member of Maddox Memorial C.O.G.I.C. where served as a choir director, deacon, and a minister, and was employed by the Ohio Brass Company. In 1981,Tony moved to Milwaukee where he was an employee of Mid City Foundry and became a member of Utopia Pentecostal Church where he served as an associate pastor and praise and the worship leader. Anthony is survived by one brother, Gerald L. of Milwaukee; sister, Virginia L. Gatewood of Cleveland; and aunt, Betty (Elder Aaron) Williams of Mansfield; five nephews Ibraheem Beleal, Gerald and Dwight Holland, Nnamdi and Danladi Duncan; his former wife and special friend, Priscilla Duncan and her daughter Marie Smith and Marie's two sons; and a host of friends and relatives. In addition to Anthony's mother and grandparents, he was preceded in death by five aunts and three uncles.. |
