About | On September 1, 2021, Audrey transitioned to be with the Lord after an extended illness. She was born on August 8, 1949, to the late Vallie Mae Caldwell and Wallace Allen Caldwell Sr, in Mansfield, Ohio. After graduating from high school, she began her studies at the school of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Later moving to Atlanta, Georgia, to complete the Mortuary Science program in the field of embalming in the hope of becoming a funeral director. Audrey always had an interest in working in the profession of funeral rites. She worked as an apprentice at Thornton Funeral Home before getting a position at Grady Memorial Hospital. Audrey retired from Grady Memorial Hospital after 30 plus years of service on August 26, 2017, as a Technical Assistant after former years as an Autopsy Assistance in the Department of Pathology. Audrey is survived by her partner Bobby Bradley, daughter Nina (James) Swain of Atlanta, Georgia and Gregory Hargrove of Sandusky, Ohio. Three granddaughters, ShirNina Hargrove of Brown Summit, North Carolina, Janerria (Aaron) Rowells of Palmetto, Georgia, and Kierra Hargrove of Atlanta, Georgia. Two great-granddaughters Kaloni Neal and Dallas Rowells.One great-grandpup Bailey Hargrove. One god-child Shameka Houston. Sisters Josephine “Tina” (Butler) Cornelius of Clarksville, Maryland, and Gwendolyn (Warren) Gibson of Washington, DC. Two aunts Geneva Jefferson of Mansfield, Ohio and Ernestine Bridgeman of Columbus, Georgia. Extended family members Brenda Shields, Darius McDaniels, Christopher McWillis Jr., Armani Hitchock, and Nicholas McWillis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Audrey was proceeded in death by three siblings,Carolyn Johnson, Edward Caldwell, and Wallace Allen Caldwell Jr. |
