| About | Eddie F. Marsh, 40, of 275 Auburn Ave. died Tuesday morning at his home after a brief illness. He was born July 28, 1949, in Holly Springs, Miss., and lived in Mansfield the past 39 years. He was a 1967 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and an employee of Graham Chevrolet. Mr. Marsh was a Vietnam veteran, a member of Lefty's Bowling Team, Mt. Herman Baptist Church where he served on the trustee board, and of Providing Athletes With Scholarships (PAWS) at Ohio University. He is survived by his wife, Jarvis; two sons, Gerald Polk of Mansfield and David Polk of Sherman, Texas; two daughters, Iris Hughley of Sherman,Texas, and Erika Polk of Mansfield; his mother Lizzie Marsh of Mansfield; three sisters, Bobbie Marsh and Elizabeth Atkison, both of Mansfield, and Annie Johns of Detroit; four brothers, Willie Marsh Jr., Johnny Marsh and Larry Marsh, all of Mansfield, and Ben Marsh of Atlanta, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.. |
| Events | Calling hours will be held Friday after 2 p,m. at the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at the church by the Rev. Fred Gilbert. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery where graveside military services will be held. Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |
