About | John W. Pierce, age 53 died Saturday, February 2, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 29, 1959 in Lancaster, Ohio to Franklin R. Pierce and Yuvonne J. (Patten) Green. John was a 1977 graduate of Mount Gilead High School. He was part owner in Reptacle Construction for 30 years in Chicago, Illinois. When John was in high school he was a drummer in the band Drifting Memories alongside his father. He was also a huge history buff with Paul Bremigan being his favorite teacher. John loved politics and was very involved at the local, state and national levels. He was so involved that when he would call politicians to share his opinion their secretaries new him by his name. In addition to his father and mother, John is survived by his step-mother, Sandra Pierce of Mount Gilead; 2 brothers: Frank (Rose) Pierce, Max (Tonya) Pierce and a sister Tina Pierce, all of Mount Gilead; 2 step-sisters: Becky (Don) Kaser of Mount Gilead and Roberta (Bill) Brown of Marion; step-grandfather, Robert Richeson of Fredericktown and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will be holding a celebration of John's life on Sunday February,10, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Mills Party Barn on State Route 42, approximately ½ mile south of Mount Gilead, Ohio on the east side of the road. Friends and family are invited to come and share in the remembrance of John. |
