About | Randall S. Weber, age 58 of Centerburg, was welcomed into the presence of God on Thursday November 14, 2013 at his residence. He was born on January 9, 1955 in Mount Gilead to the late Joseph G. Weber and Beth (Ackerman) Weber of Mount Gilead. A graduate of Mount Gilead High School Class of 1973, Randy was a member of the cross country and track teams and was inducted into the Mount Gilead High School Athletic Hall of Fame.. He also attended Baldwin Wallace College on a track scholarship and received All American Honors in track. Randy attended American University in Washington DC and received a Masters Degree in Public Administration and earned a law degree from Capital University in 1987. Randall was very active in Public Service with over 30 years of service on the local, state and federal levels. Served as Morrow County Treasurer from 1984-2001, worked in Washington DC for the GAO and the Pentagon. Randall most recently worked for the State of Ohio in the Department of Commerce as a Fiscal Specialist and was a fiscal officer for the Ohio Industrial Commission. His community service was in many organizations: Morrow County Chambers of Commerce Past President, former treasurer for the Morrow County Sesquicentennial Committee, former member Morrow County Trustees Association, Morrow County Bar Association Past President, Admitted United States Supreme Court Bar, former trustee Morrow County Law Library. Former 1st vice-president County Treasurers’ Association of Ohio former member Legislative Committee County Treasurers Association, Multiple Congressional Campaigns in the Midwest and he also served on President Reagan’s Inaugural Committee in 1981. Randall was a history buff and enjoyed researching family genealogy. He considered himself a “Gentleman Farmer”. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 23 years: Marianne (Maher) Weber and they were married November 17, 1990 in Mount Gilead; brother: Terry (Kym) Weber of Mount Gilead; sisters: Debbie (Carl) Nelson of Mount Gilead, Shelley Weber of Delaware; mother-in-law: Ruth Maher of Mount Gilead; sisters-in-law: Julie (Chris) Kubbs of Marion, Kristen (Tom) Hack of Mount Gilead; aunts: Muriel Clark of Norton, Fannie Heimlich of Attica, LauraMae Cutler of New Jersey; numerous nieces and nephews. |
