Michael R. Wheat, age 61 left us to be with the Lord after a brief illness, on January 9, 2020. He most recently resided in Canton, Ohio, but prior to that, resided in Perry Township, where he graduated from Perry High School and found employment with Fulfab. He was most recently employed with CORS, both of which he met so many of his friends. Michael was preceded in death by his father: Hershey Wheat, mother: Pauline Wheat and step-mother Stachia Wheat, and brother Herschel Wheat, Jr. Michael leaves behind to miss him a sister: Phyllis I. Wheat, two brothers: Richard C. Wheat (Sarita), and Stephen M. Wheat, nephews: Richard Wheat, Jr., Garrel Gamble and Sean Gamble, nieces: Carmen Hubbard (James) and Eva Chare Wheat. Special Cousins: Kaleen Wheat-Lemon (George), Nancy Chapman (Thomas) and Frances Garner, Great nephews and nieces: Raymond and Marcez Hogsett, TaeSean, Messiah and Elijah Gamble, Natalya, Sean and Camryn Gamble, along with a host of other, cousins and many, many friends that all loved him very much. All that knew him knows that he was an avid golfer and the ultimate Michigan Wolverines Fan. Now Michigan has an angel over their team and coach! Go Blue! Services for Michael are being held on Saturday, January 18,2020 at St. James AME Zion Church in Massillon, Ohio. Calling hours are from 10-11am with services to begin immediately afterwards. A Repass will be held at St. James AME Zion Church 209 2nd St SW Massillon, Ohio following the services. |
