| About | Ray E. Lucas Jr. age 52, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, Sept. 6, 2010. He was born in Canton, Oct. 15, 1957, to the late Ray Edward and Margaret (Enot) Lucas Sr. He lived his entire life in Canton/Massillon area, was a 1976 graduate of Perry High School and worked for SARTA as a bus driver for the past nine years. Ray is survived by his wife of 18 years, Anita (Leonard) Lucas; son, Evan; stepdaughter, Veronica Spach; sisters and brother-in-law, Jane Lucas of Massillon, Chris (Steve) Leighton of Canton; many loving friends, family and his dog, 'Jenfenables'. Ray was a kind, loving and generous husband, father, brother, son-in-law, uncle and friend who will be tremendously missed and will forever live in our hearts. Services will be held Graveside at Calvary Cemetery in Perry Twp. on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m. with Jeffrey Basinger officiating. A memorial reception will be held immediately following at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Massillon. Memorials may be made in his memory to his wife and son at any First Merit Bank.
