About | Arthur Thomas Farmer of East Lansing, Michigan, Age 75, passed away February 12, 2011. He was born March 19, 1935, in Piketon, OH. Arthur attended Michigan State University, where he completed many graduate level courses. He retired from Fisher Body as an accountant after 36 years. Arthur was on the supervisory board at Auto Body Credit Union for 40 years. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, and was a coach for the church basketball program for 15 years, and was an active member of the Michigan Athletic Club. Surviving are: his former wife, Irma Moss; 6 children, Linda (R. William) Farmer Lewis of Evanston, IL, Ted (Stacey) Farmer of Bloomfield Hills, Andrew Farmer of Lansing, Diana Farmer of East Lansing, Thomas (Christine) Farmer of Okemos and Carol (Brendan Boyle) Farmer of Palo Alto CA; 8 grand children; sister-in-law Adah Foster Farmer; and nephews, Scott (Angie), and Mark (Elaine) Farmer of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winston and Wanda Farmer; and his brother Michael Farmer.
