| About | Betty Ruth Hopkins, 66, of Piketon, died Wednesday, May 24, 1995, at a Chillicothe hospital. Born February 16, 1929, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Joseph Roe and Laura Mawk Roe, she was a retired secretary of the Hopkins Insurance Agency and attended Pleasant Valley Community Church. Surviving are her husband, Carson J. Hopkins, whom she married November 20, 1947; two sons, Larry L. Hopkins and Morris F. Hopkins, both of Piketon; a daughter, Mrs. Benny W. (Pat) Penn of Piketon; two sisters, Viola Barker of Piketon; and Joann Plunk of Waverly; and six grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Harrison and Donald Roe; and a sister, Mary Louise Roe. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, with the Rev. Donald Pfeifer officiating, and interment in Mound Cemetery. |
