About | Carol Delores Moore, 69, of State Route 124, Piketon, Ohio, died Monday, June 13, 2016, at her home. She was born February 15, 1947, in Piketon, daughter of the late Verl Jones and Cora Elizabeth Beavers Jones. On November 2, 1968, Carol was married to Jack Moore who preceded her in death on February 28, 1982. Surviving are three daughters, Lisa Moore and fiance Mike Smith of Huntington, West Virginia, Tara Moore of Piketon, Tonya Williams and husband John of Waverly; three grandchildren, Makenzie Roosa, Casey Williams and Caleb Williams; two great grandchildren, Lillian and Carter Dalton; two brothers, Darrell Jones and wife Barbara and Roger Jones and wife Linda, both of Peebles, Ohio; four sisters, Evelyn Beekman and husband Dewey of Peebles, Shirley Grooms of Peebles, Mildred Lambert of Piketon and Loretta Barker and husband Wayne of Piketon. In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jackie Dalton and Braxton Moore; one great grandson Alexander Dalton, and five sisters, Carma Jean Moore, Marilyn Leeth, Norma Jean Jones, Helen Jones and Verna Mae Woods. Carol was a retired kitchen aide at Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with her grandson Casey Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Log Pile Cemetery in Vinton County.
