| About | Cheryl Lynne Burkitt, 52, of Union Hill Road, Piketon, Ohio died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born May 5, 1957 in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Warner Ison and Arlene (Tackett) Ison of Waverly, Ohio. On January 27, 1979, Cheryl was united in marriage to Ronald Dean Burkitt who survives. Surviving are one son, Christopher Dean Burkitt and wife Kimberly of Piketon; one daughter, Heather Marie Howell and husband Shawn of Waverly; four grandchildren, Alexander Dean Russell, Cassidy Faith Russell, Jeremiah Allen Bundy and Tiffany Marie Burkitt; three brothers, Barry Keith Ison and wife Marilyn of Piketon, Alan Kent Ison and James Richard Ison and wife Ronda all of Beaver, Ohio and a sister, Patricia Jenkins of Lucasville, Ohio. In addition to her father, two brothers, Larry Jarvis and Roger Clay Ison and a sister, Tina Rider preceded Cheryl in death. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Jack Moore officiating.
