About | Mrs. Dorothy Mae Jordan, 65, of 111 Delay Dr., Piketon, died suddenly at 9:30 a.m. Monday, November 15, at her residence, following a brief illness. A native of Pike County she was born on May 28, 1911 in Idaho, a daughter of Charles E. and Effie Cooper Henry. On July 5, 1951 she married Forest O. Jordan, who survives at home. In addition to her husband, surviving one son, by a former marriage, C. James Parker of Carlisle, O.; three grandchildren; one brother, Paul G. Henry of Second Street, Piketon; one sister, Miss Beatrice I. Henry also of Piketon; two half-sisters, Mrs. Marie Johnson of Melbourne, Fla., and Mrs. Pauline Dennis of Columbus. She was predeceased by her parents, one brother Walter E. Henry, one-half brother, Cecil Henry, and one-half sister, Mrs. Olive Dixon. Funeral services were scheduled foe 1 p.m. Thursday at the Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly, with Rev. Robert DeMars officiating. Burial was to follow in Mound Cemetery in Piketon. Friends were to call from 2 to 4, and 7 until p p.m. |
