About | Baker-Sonner Nuptials Are Solemnized Mr. & Mrs. Henry Sonner of Piketon are announcing the marriage of their daughter, Dorothy Nell, to Mr. George Dale Baker, son of Mr. & Mrs. Elmer Baker, of Jasper. The marriage ceremony was solemnized at 9:30 am. Sunday at the Methodist parsonage with the Rev. David Williams, pastor of the Piketon Methodist Church, officiating. Miss Donna Jean Sonner, a sister of the bride, was the bride, was the bridesmaid and Mr. Robert Anderson, of Piketon, was the best man. Mrs. Norma Williams, wife of the party was a witness. After the ceremony the bride, who has been superintendent of the Primary Department of the Methodist Sunday School for several years, went to the church to bid adieu to the members of her department at noon, a wedding dinner was served to the bridal party at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. & Mrs. Henry Sonner, in Piketon. Miss Reva Sonner, of Columbus, a sister of the bride, was a guest at the wedding dinner. The bride and groom are both graduates of the Piketon High School. [Class of 1939] The bride has been employed for several years as a clerk at the J. W. Cooper store in Piketon. After the wedding dinner they left for Columbus where they will make their home.
