About | Dr. Steve E. Keister, 75, died July 24, 1997 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. He was born in Piketon July 31, 1921, the son of the late Merle and Grace (Stevenson) Keister, both of Piketon. He graduated from The Ohio State University Medical School in 1945. He interned at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton in 1946. From 1947 to 1951, Dr. Keister served as a Captain in the United States Army Medical Corps during World War II. From 1952 to 1956, he was a resident physician at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cleveland in the field of anesthesiology. He received his board certification in 1956, certified, American Board of Anesthesiology. He was a practicing anesthesiology specialist for three more years at St. Luke’s Hospital. From 1959 until his retirement, he was a dedicated and respected anesthesiology specialist at Aultman Hospital on Canton. After he retired, he was a devoted and successful agriculturist, specializing in registered Herefords at his farm in Paris. August 13, 1997 |
