About | Earl Edgar Brannan, 59, of Piketon, Ohio, died Sunday October 12, 2008 at his home after being exposed to Agent Orange. He was born January 26, 1949 at Piketon, son of the late Warren Denver Brannan and Hazel Augusta Lute Brannan of Piketon. Also surviving is a special friend, Debbie LeMaster, a son, Richard Terry Overman and wife Farrah of Italy, two daughters, Crystal Reid of Piketon, Dorothy “Peach” Tackett of Piketon, five grandchildren, Michael Reid, II, Wyatt and Cole Overman, Nash and Searra Payne. Also surviving are two brothers, Robert Brannan and wife Barbara of Piketon, John Brannan and wife Lynn of Waverly, Ohio, five sisters, Mary Cathern Pittman of Columbus, Ohio, Ruby Faye Shanks and husband Lloyd of Seaman, Ohio, Frances May Ward of Chillicothe, Ohio, Susan Ethel Isaac and husband Jackie of Waverly, Hazel Marguerite Brannan of Piketon, 13 nieces and nephews as well as special friends at McConkey’s. In addition to his father, a brother, Thomas Joseph Brannan and two sisters, Wilma Brannan and Elizabeth Fern “Betty” Isaac preceded Earl in death. Earl was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War and was a Sales Clerk for McConkey Auto Parts in Waverly. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday October 15, 2008 at the Bethel Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor J. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Piketon, with a military graveside service conducted by American Legion Merritt Post 142, Waverly. Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and a half hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. |
