About | Edith Damron Horton, 75, of Chillicothe, died peacefully, surrounded by family, in her home on Thursday, January 31, 2013. The daughter of Tolby and Eva Damron, Edith became the first of her family to graduate High School in 1956 from Piketon High School. Edith retired from the United States Postal Service after 34 years of dedicated service and was a proud member of the American Postal Workers’ Union. She was an avid doll and toy collector, an accomplished typist, and enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening, travel, photography and cooking-her chili and potato salad were unsurpassed. She cherished her beautiful two-story brick house and surrounding property, made evident by the many pictures she had taken of it and the flowers that she grew there. The loves of her life were her seven children, and as anyone who knew or met her could attest, she was very proud of each one, and loved them with all of her heart. Edith was preceded in death by her mother and father; her sisters, Gladys Myers, Vivian Compton, and Elvira Turner; her brothers, Jim Jack Damron, George Damron, Daniel Damron. She is survived by her siblings, Chad Damron, Brad Damron, Laura VanBibber, Elaine Owens, Doug Damron, and John Damron; her seven Children, Jimmy (Vickie) Robertson, Donnie (Sharma) Robertson, Susie Robertson, Becky Morales, David Robertson, Danny (Cheryl) Horton, and Johnny (Amy) Horton; her thirteen grandchildren, Isaac Robertson, Emily Robertson, Leah Robertson, Carley Robertson, Nathan Robertson, Josh Robertson, Lexi Morales, Derrek Robertson, Marie Pena, Alistier Pena, Daniela Pena, Quaid Horton, Bailey Horton; and five great grandchildren, Layla Robertson, Caden Robertson, Henry Robertson, Brylee Netter, and Jacob Robertson.
