About | Former Piketon resident, Ethel Holt Hopkins, 78, of Bay Lane, Beavercreek, Ohio, died 8:45 a.m. Tuesday at Heartland of Oakridge, Miamisburg, Ohio. She was a former blue Print printer/engraver NCR. She was a member of the Central Methodist Church in Fort Myers, Fla., and attended the Oak Creek Worship Center in Beavercreek, Ohio. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution of Cape Coral, Fla. Born March 12, 1917, in Adams County, she was the daughter of Oscar Holt and Donna Boldman. In May 1961, she married John Hopkins, who preceded her in death in February 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mark Holt and Vernon Holt; and a son, Donald Oscar Holt in 1957. She id survived by one son, David Michael Warren of Willimgton, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Donna Mildred Warren) Roundtree of Beavercreek, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Verlin (Kate) Clepper of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Mrs. Beryl Gonzalez of Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Howe-Wheeler-Boyer-Hornback Funeral Home, Piketon, with the Rev. Jimmy D. McPherson officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon.
