Gary Dale Looney, 59, of Lillie Street, Chillicothe, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Chillicothe.Gary was born February 22, 1950 in Portsmouth, Ohio son of the late Edgar Looney and Viola Fern Lute Looney.Surviving are his good friend Betty Street of Chillicothe; two sons, Jeffrey A. Looney, Sr. of Waverly, Ohio; David S. Looney and wife Tasha of Piketon; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Looney, Jr., Joshua A. Looney, Jeremy A. Looney, Bridget N. Looney, Kadiah R. Looney, Jiles E. Looney and Alijah D. Looney all of Piketon as well as a brother, Ernest S. Looney and wife Marlan of Piketon; sister-in-law, Mert Looney of Springfield, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, two brothers, Edgar Lee and Paul Looney preceded Gary in death.Gary was a PFC in the U.S. Army from 1969 -1971 serving his time in Germany. Gary was a long time employee of McConkey Auto Parts in Waverly and attended Bethel Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union.Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday May 9, 2009 at the Bethel Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union with Rev. Grover Blankenship officiating.
