About | Gary Leon Lansing, 66 of Lansing Road, Piketon, Ohio died 5:25 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the O.S.U. Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born May 28, 1948 in Elm Grove, Ohio, the son of the late Clinton Gilbert “Buck” Lansing and Leona Eileen (Beekman) Lansing. Surviving are four brothers, Larry Lansing and wife Cecelia, John Lansing and wife Lillie, Dean Lansing and wife Kathy, Roger Lansing, all of Elm Grove, Ohio, three sisters, Leona Tackett, Carol Tomblin and husband Kevin both of Elm Grove, Ohio and Vicki Gault and husband Robert of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, host of nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, John Tackett. Gary worked in the lumber industry and was a former employee of Mills Pride, Waverly, Ohio. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Mt. Zion Christian Union Church with Pastor Dean Lansing, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly, Ohio, will conduct Graveside Military Honors.
