About | Gladys Ellen (Foster) Legg, 78, of Piketon, was dead on arrival at 8 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at Pike Community Hospital in Waverly. She was born January 10, 1921, in Piketon, a daughter of the late John B. Foster and Grace Mae rose Foster. She was a self-employed food service manager. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Legg, December 14, 1961. Surviving are one son, Mike (Cindy) Legg of Waverly; one daughter, Brenda (Lonnie) Greene of Piketon; four grandchildren; two great-grandparents; three brothers, Lowell Foster, John Foster and Harry Foster, all of Piketon; four sisters, Ethel Mosher of Piketon, Mildred (Orland) Allen of Tallahassee, Fla., and Lillian Cutlip and Adah Mae (Michael) Farmer, both of Dayton; and special friend, George Pachuta of Piketon. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Benjamin Foater; and two sisters, Louise Abel and Rose Parker. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 1999, at Howe Wheeler Boyer Hornback Funeral Home in Piketon, with the Rev. Alan Jones officiating, and interment in Mound Cemetery in Piketon.
