| About | Glenn James "Buddy" Grooms, Jr., age 61 of Long Fork Road, Piketon, Ohio died 4:40 p.m. Saturday, 13 February 2016 at The Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was born 13 April 1954 in Chillicothe, Ohio the son of Glenn James Grooms, Sr. of Piketon and the late Shirley Jean (Cutler) Grooms. On 14 November 1986 Buddy was united in marriage to Becky Jean (Duke) Grooms who preceded him in death on 1 December 2001. Also surviving are a daughter, Amanda Marie Harrington and husband Stephen of Hilliard, Ohio, three grandchildren; Rebecca, Ashton and Riley Harrington and a sister, Sharon Jean Grooms and Marsha Bevins of Piketon, Ohio. Buddy was a retired construction Laborer. He was preceded in death by his wife, mother and a sister Rosemary Elaine Grooms. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, 18 February 2016 at the HOWE WHEELER BOYER HORNBACK Funeral Home in Piketon with Pastor Alan Newberry officiating.
