About | Goodsell L. "Mac" McCoy, 90, of S.R 551 Waverly, Ohio died Thursday February 21, 2013 at the Adena-Pike Medical Center in Waverly, following an extended illness. He was born on December 17, 1922 in Piketon, Ohio to the late Orin C. and Katheryn Leist McCoy. He was united in marriage on October 9, 1942 to Leah Dixon McCoy who preceded him in death on April 17, 1997. Surviving is a daughter, Dianne L. Fields and Jerome Burkett of Freeport, FL, three grandchildren: Jamie (Karen) McCoy of Pittsburg, PA, Jeff McCoy of Denver, CO, and Katy L. Fields of Fort Walton Beach, FL. Four great grandchildren: Leah Fields of Fort Walton Beach, Aiden McCoy and Addison McCoy both of Pittsburg, and Emma Fields of Fort Walton Beach, and nieces: Cheryl Riviers and Kay Edwards of Xenia, OH., and daughter-in-law, Bonnie McCoy of McMurray, PA. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry L McCoy in February of 2012, a grandson, Justin Paul McCoy, and a brother and sister-in-law, Orin and Helen McCoy Mr. McCoy was retired as Parts Manager from Vallery Ford in Waverly with 42 years of service, a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, the Pike County Golf League, and was a very talented artist where many of his works have been on display in the Waverly City Building and the Lake White Club, and was a WWII U.S. Army Air Force Veteran. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly with David Burris, minister officiating.
