About | Funeral services foe Harold C. (Red) Cheeseman, 58, prominent businessman of Jasper, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Howe Co. Funeral Home in Piketon with Rev. William Carter officiating, with burial following in Mound Cemetery there. Friends called at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Mr. Cheeseman died at 2:30 a.m. Friday, October 31 in Grant Hospital, Columbus, where he was taken in a Howe Co. ambulance Thursday morning. He had been in ill health for a year. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Pike County Hospital, and also a member of Orient Lodge No. 321 in Waverly. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. A native of Pike County he was born on November 9, 1910, the son of Clyde and Margaret (Vance) Cheeseman. On October 21, 1934 he married the former Alice Dewey, who survives at home. Also surviving is a sister, Miss Elsie Cheeseman of Waverly. A son, Richard, died in infancy.
