| About | Harry Edmond “Ed” Harris, Jr., 58 of Long Fork Road, Piketon, Ohio died 9:10 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at his home. He was born November 21, 1955 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of the late Harry Edmond Harris, Sr. and Anna (Sloas) Harris. On November 12, 1977 Ed was united in marriage to Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Harris who preceded him in death October 14, 2009. Surviving are two sons, Jeremy R. Harris and wife Amy of Waverly, Ohio, Colton B. Harris of Piketon, Ohio, one daughter, Ashley T. Harris and Cody Pennington of Waverly, Ohio, three grandchildren, Deagon, Graydon and Kailee Harris, brother, James E. Harris of Piketon, Ohio, two sisters, Judy E. Miller and husband Lonnie of Prichard, WV and Nancy E. Waltermeyer and husband Richard of Decatur, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, Sue Evelyn Harris and brother, Herman Eugene Harris. Ed was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for Ricer Equipment, Lucasville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at the HOWE WHEELER BOYER Funeral Home in Piketon, Ohio with Rev. Terry Lawson and Rev. Michael Ratliff, officiating. Burial will follow in Sloas Cemetery, Lucasville, Ohio.
