About | Harry L Foster, 70, of Thornton Drive, Piketon, OH, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, at his home. He was born Nov. 21, 1932, in Piketon, OH, the son of the late John B. and Grace Mae (Rose) Foster. On July 11, 1958, he was united in marriage to Lois M. (Alexander) Foster, who survives. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Jessica G. Foster, of Tucson, AZ; two brothers, C. Lowell Foster, of Midwest, OK, and John (Pauline) Foster, of Piketon, OH; and four sisters, Ethel Mosher, of Piketon, OH, Mildred Allen, of Crawfordsville, FL, Lillian Cutlip and Ada Mae (Michael) Farmer, both of Riverside, OH. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by a son, James "Jimmy" C. Foster; daughter, Jacquelyn L. Foster; brother, Benjamin D. Foster; and four sisters, Frances Foster, Rose Parker, Louise Able and Gladys Legg. Harry was on Piketon's Village Council and Fire Department, in his younger years, and on Piketon's Zoning Board more recently. Air Liquide (France) was Harry's formal place of employment for 23 1/2 years, serving as District Manager, Western Division out of Phoenix, AZ, and Houston, TX, retiring to his hometown of Piketon, OH, in 1993. Harry and his wife, Lois, had truly loved coming back home and the joy of reacquainting themselves with all of their friends and relatives over the past 10 years in Piketon. Harry was a U.S. Army Veteran, Korean Conflict. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, at the Howe Wheeler Boyer Hornback Funeral Home, Piketon, with Phil Foster, Minister officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Piketon, OH. Military graveside services will be conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly, OH.
