| About | Herbert Nelson Mossbarger, 55 of Piketon, Ohio died 5:30 A.M. Saturday 17 August 2013 at Pleasant Hill Manor, Piketon, Ohio. He was born 13 September 1957 the son of the late Dale Dwight Mossbarger and Myrtle “Jackie” (Blythe) Mossbarger. On 8 September 1982 he was united in marriage to Rene Denise (Fitts) Mossbarger, who survives. Also surviving are two children, David Alan Hicks of Piketon, and Lorianne McDowell of Kingston, North Carolina. Two grandchildren, Kyle and Nathanial McDowell, four brothers, Dale D. Mossbarger Jr., San Diego, California, David W. Mossbarger of Piketon, Allen Mossbarger of Waverly, and Donald Mossbarger of Chillicothe, Ohio, two sisters, Susan Shumaker and husband Keith of Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania and Joan Willis and husband Jesse of Virginia Beach, Virginia. In addition to his parents, one brother, Mark preceded Herbert in death. Herbert was a retired Custodian for Piketon High School and a veteran of the U.S. Marines Memorial Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
