About | Jack C. Noel, 77 years old of Chillicothe has taken the next step in the journey of life. He passed beyond all pain and sorrow on October 2, 2011 at home surrounded by those who were fortunate enough to call him Husband, Dad and Pap. Jack was the son of the late Todd Noel and Lyda (Henry) Noel of Scioto County. He was born on July 22, 1934 on Duck Run Road. He graduated from Piketon High School in 1951. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy. In 1956, following his military service, he married Mary Lou Riley, who survives him. Jack had a full and blessed life. He retired from the Mead Corporation in Chillicothe in 1993. While he was working he also coached Little League Baseball for Richmond Dale and took an active role in providing everything his children needed to be successful in life. He was actively involved in creating Southeastern High School's football program. He remained involved in this program as a member of the "Chain Gang" at all home games until his health prevented his further participation Jack was an upstanding and caring member of his community. He volunteered at the Forrest E. Everhart Memorial Golf Course for the past 16 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #757 of Chillicothe for 47 years. He is a companion of the Grand Council Royal & Select Masons of Ohio, Chillicothe Council # 4. Jack was an avid fan of all types of sports. He loved hunting, fishing and playing cards with his family and friends. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren hiking and telling them stories. His infant daughter, Teresa Kay Noel, his parents, 14 siblings and several nieces and nephews preceded Jack in death. Other than his wife, Mary Lou, Jack is survived by his children: Shane Noel of Meigs County, Lisa Keesee, Jacqueline Wacaster and Dr. Brett Noel of Chillicothe. 7 grandchildren: Mandy Harvey, Levi and Colt Rooker, Heather Tarlton, Chad, Courtney and Cassie Keesee. 5 Great Grandchildren: Laikin, Tali, Kobey, Kaiser and Jack (his name sake). He also leaves behind 1 sister, Ann Woodruff and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Jack's life will be held at the American Legion Post #62, West Main Street, Chillicothe on October 9, 2011 from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to either the Aaron Reed Scholarship Foundation or Adena Regional Hospice in Jack C.
