About GREENFIELD: Jack L. Schilling, 74, of Greenfield, Ohio, died on Monday, April 18, 2011 in Amarillo, Texas.

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jack was born on August 22, 1936 in Pike County, Ohio to Scott and Zelma Schilling. He was born and raised in Piketon and graduated from Piketon High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Jack was a retired police officer from the Columbus Police Department and also farmed with his wife, Sherry Schilling, who preceded him in death in 2005 in Pickaway, Ohio.

Survivors include three daughters, Sonya Schilling of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lynn Shadd of Ashland, Ohio and Susan McKay of Canyon; two sisters, Margarette Kube and Donna South, both of Ohio; six grandchildren, Joseph Parenti, Casey Moran, Adam Shadd, Hannah Shadd, Charley McKay and Jack McKay.
