Tackett: Waverly woman dies in car accident PIKE COUNTY - The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle accident that took the life of one woman in Pike County. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Jacqueline D. Tackett, 43, of Waverly was operating a 1999 Ford Escort southbound on Germany Road at 1:23 a.m. Wednesday, when her vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, struck a tree and caught fire. The fire was extinguished by Beaver Township and Piketon fire departments. Tackett was pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Coroner Dr. David Kessler. The Pike County Sheriff Department and the State Fire Marshal's Office assisted with the investigation at the scene. The crash remains under investigation. |
