| About | LUCASVILLE – Kathryn Marie "Kathy" Blanton, 71, of Lucasville, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born Oct. 1, 1942, on Ganderhook, Pike Co., Ohio, a daughter of the late Clyde and Felcia "Marie" Short Chancey. Kathy was a former Nurse's Aide for Edgewood Manor and a 1960 Piketon High School graduate. She is survived by two sons, Donald Kevin (Denise) Blanton of Lucasville and Michael (Melanie) Blanton of Chillicothe; one daughter, Sharon (Kenneth) Neville of Lucasville; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Darlene (Herb) Dillow of Jamestown and Carolyn Elaine Chancey of Lucasville. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald "Lacy" Blanton, June 7, 2013; and one brother, Clyde Chancey Jr. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, in the Blanton Family Cemetery on Ganderhook Road, Lucasville, with Kelly Carver officiating.
