| About | Kelly O. Smith, age 73 of Howe Road, Piketon, Ohio, died January 2, 2013 at his residence. He was born November 16, 1939 in Piketon, Ohio a son of the late Emerson and Kathleen Burkitt Smith. On June 11, 1961 he was united in marriage to Wanda Ward Smith who survives. Also surviving are one son, Kelly Allen Smith of Piketon, Ohio; one daughter, Angela Johnson and husband Richard of Piketon, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Ahsley Smith, Allison Smith, Alysa Smith and Kayla Gilbert; two great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Gunner Smith; one brother, Walter Smith and wife Karen of Piketon, Ohio; two sisters, Jeanette Leslie and husband Imond of Piketon, Ohio and Christine Ross and Husband Dale of Piketon, Ohio. He was preceded in death by an infant sister Irene. Kelly was a 1957 Graduate of Piketon High School. A member of Ohio Operating Engineers Union Local #18, a Trucker for several years. On December 11, 2012 he accepted the Lord into his Life. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly with Bryan Moore, minister officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Latham Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 12 noon till 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Pike County News-Watchman |
