| About | Margaret Ellen (Grooms) Williams, 94 of Waverly, Ohio and formally of Longfork Road, Piketon, went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Washington Grooms Sr. and Rosa (Holt) Grooms of Piketon. On July 15, 1948, Margaret was united in marriage to Richard Leondis Williams who preceded her in death on May 21, 2013. Together they had six children, Danny Williams and wife Karen of Orlando, Florida, Roger Williams and wife Glenda of Waverly, Michael Williams and wife Deanna of Piketon, Timothy Williams and wife Patricia of Piketon, and daughter, Rebecca McDougal and husband Guy of Petersburg, Tennessee. They had one son, Melvin Williams who preceded them in death. Margaret had eleven grandchildren, Travis Williams, Tashina Williams, Felicia McGuire, Eric Williams and wife Holly, Darren Williams and wife Anne, Matthew McDougal and wife Jennifer, Samantha Inoue and husband Yuji, Jennifer Day and husband Matthew, and Julie Haynes and husband Justin. They had two grandchildren who preceded them in death, Crystal McDougal and Jeremy Williams. They had ten great-grandchildren, Dakota, Hunter, Jeremy, Megan, Jonathan, and Eli Williams, Peyton and Trenton Day, Liam Haynes, and Jaxon McGuire. Margaret has one sister who survives, Romaine Beavers and husband William “Gene” of Piketon. She had five brothers all deceased, Glen, Ernest Jr., Willis, Robert, and Paul Grooms all of Piketon, Ohio. Margaret was a wonderful mother and grandmother and always enjoyed babysitting with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Elm Grove Church of Christ, where she was a faithful member. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday January 16, 2019 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly with Pastor Scott Judge officiating. Burial will follow in Yankee Hill Cemetery.
