About | Margaret (Maggie) Louise Steinhauer Speakman, 90, of Piketon passed away January 28, 2013 at Pleasant Hill Manor. Maggie was born July 4, 1922 in Commercial Point, Ohio, to the late Grover and Winnie (Keechle) Steinhauer. Maggie was predeceased by her parents, husbands, Elmer Smith, Everett (Ace) Myers, and Harold Speakman, children, Sharron “Dusty” Claytor, and William E. Smith, sisters, Idabelle Noe, Dorothy Young, and Ruth Patterson, brothers, Charles, Walter, Wilfred, and William Steinhauer. She is survived by granddaughters, Terry (Dan) Driapsa, LeAnn (Ty) McWhorter, Dara Comstock, and Kelly (Charles) Canterbury, nine great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, one brother, John Steinhauer of Piketon, Ohio, one sister, Mildred McKenney of Springfield, Ohio, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A new great-great grandchild is expected in March. A celebration of Maggie’s life will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 4 pm at New Covenant Church in Waverly Ohio.
