| About | A funeral was conducted Monday for Margaret Clay, 83, of Washington Court House, who died Thursday in a hospital there. A native of Piketon, she was active in church, social and civic life at Washington Court House. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Clay, in 1971. Survivors include a son. Don R. of Bethesda, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Eleanor) Bishop of New Holland; a brother, Charles Markham of Portsmouth; a sister, Mrs. E. R. (Ann) Smith of Sciotoville, and four grandchildren. The final service was at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with the Rev. Paul Steele officiating. Burial was made in Washington Cemetery. March 6, 1984 News Watchman |
