| About | Mark R. Smith, age 53, of Chenoweth Fork Rd., Piketon, Ohio, died Wednesday April 1, 2009 at the Golden Years Health Care Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born September 17, 1955 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of Beulah Thompson Smith of Piketon, Ohio and the late H. Richard Smith. Also surviving are two brothers, Lyle Brent Smith and Steven J. Smith, one sister, Shawna M. Smith, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Mr. Smith graduated from Piketon High School in 1973 and worked for the Scioto Valley School District. Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will not be observed.
