Martha Mae Ferguson, 83, of Lucas Street, Piketon, Ohio, passed away Thursday September 19, 2013, at Traditions at Bristol Village, Waverly, Ohio. She was born May 17, 1930 in Piketon, daughter of the late Charles Franklin Carson and Eva Pearl Slagle Carson. Surviving is a son, John Ferguson of Piketon, two daughters, Diane Baker, Debra Baker and husband Eldon both of Chillicothe, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jason Baker and wife Abbea, Jennifer Sams and husband Scott, Amy Nolan and husband Lee, Eric Baker and wife Kisha, Evan Ferguson; six great grandchildren, Madison, Matthew and Allie Baker, Payton Sams, Bentley and Kylee Baker; a brother, John Carson of Piketon, and a sister, Jo Ellen Mullins of Piketon. In addition to her parents, two brothers, Ronald and Dale Carson, and a sister, Janet Anderson preceded Martha in death. Martha was a retired waitress for Schmitts Dairy Bar in Waverly and had attended the former Piketon Church of Christ in Christian Union. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Dane Knapp officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the service on Monday.
