About | Nellie Mae (Blakeman) Ferrell, age 83, of Zebulon Street, Piketon, died 12:08 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2004, at Pike Community Hospital in Waverly. She was born April 21, 1921 in Piketon, a daughter of the late James and Rose (Sweeney) Blakeman. Surviving are one son, Eugene ”Spike” Ferrell of Piketon, one daughters, Sheila Marie Ferrell of Piketon, four grandchildren, Jamie Eugene (Kellie) Stinson, Sherman Jay (Megan) Osborne, Teresa (Jeremy) Masters, and Greg Alan Ferrell; four great grandchildren, Talon Jay Eugene Osborne, Kayla Jean Meredith, Tyler Meredith, and Gabriel Eugene Masters, two brothers, John (Angeline) Blakeman of Chillicothe, and Harold (Phyllis) Blakeman of Jasper, and two sisters, Betty Day of Jasper, and Wanda Lucille Gibson of Waverly, O. She was preceded in death by one son Richard H. Ferrell, four brothers, William, Sam, Carl, and Elmer Blakeman, and one son-in-law, Junior Day. Nellie was a member of the Canal Church of Christ in Waverly. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Canal Church of Christ in Waverly with Darrell Pinkerton, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Piketon, O. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly. And one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.
