| About | Pat Seif was a very special lady. Kind and gentle, she made everything and everyone she touched better. Pat was happily married to Dave D. Seif for 55 years who preceded her in death on April 18, 2001. She was the loving mother of two sons and daughters-in-law, M. Todd and Annabelle Seif of Indianpolis, IN, and David Dale and Elizabeth Seif of Waverly; Her grandsons, David Dale Seif, Jr., and Kelly Patrick Seif and his fiance Beth Oyer were loved very much by her. Pat is also survived by her sister-in-law, Joyce Dittmar and her husband Richard of Zanesville, OH; nieces and nephews, and special caregivers, Bonnie Schneider, Carol Chandler, and Thelma Conley. Born September 13, 1919 in Piketon, Ohio Pat was the daughter of Charles R. (Tod) and Helen Moore Patterson, who preceded her in death. She was also was predeased by first husband, Ralph Fowls who died during WWII serving with the 8th Air Force, and her sister, Mary E. Patterson. A Graduate of Piketon High School and Oberlin College, Pat taught high school English for 25 years in Milan, Hillsboro, Piketon, and Waverly, OH. She was a past president of the Waverly Classroom Teachers and Piketon Sarosis Club. She served on the boards of the Pike County Fair, and the Garnet A. Wilson Library, a charter member of the Waverly Study Club, a life member of the Ohio Education Assoc., and a member of the Pike County Retired Teachers Assoc. After an extended illness, Pat died peacefully Thursday morning, November 25, 2004. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bristol Village Activity Center with Larry Williams, minister officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Waverly Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed.
