| About | Paul Glen Crabtree, age 84, of Waverly, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon. He was born Nov. 18, 1926, in Jasper, Ohio, to the late Hobart and Ina Clark Crabtree. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Mirdeath; a sister Virginia Bright and a granddaughter Cindy Riggs. He was a graduate of Piketon High School class of 1944 and was US Army veteran of WWII. He owned and operated Crabtree Heating and Air Conditioning for several years, then worked and retired from Martin Marietta. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and Waverly Lions Club. He attended Grace United Methodist Church in Waverly. He is survived by his wife Dolly whom he married on Aug. 20, 1948; two daughters, Debra (Tom) Sullivan of Portsmouth and Susan Crabtree of Logan, Ohio; one son, Douglas (Deborah) Crabtree of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Wendy (Kyle) Essman of Otway and Jeromy (Kelly) Riggs of McDermott; two step-grandchildren, Shane and Krista Sullivan of Dayton; and five great grandchildren, Joseph Essman, Kady Essman, Kayla Riggs, Brandon Riggs, and Andrew Welsh; and a sister, Corda Helman of Columbus. There will be a graveside service at the convenience of the family in Waverly Evergreen Union Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed.
